Challenger Shuttle 25th
Today is the 25th anniversary of the Challenger Explosion according to the news
Wow time does fly - I remember watching it with my children
Many in classrooms everywhere were watching because there was a teacher on board
They showed on tv today the Challenger Memorial Center for Children which is filled with the things which duplicate the controls of the Challenger to inspire the children to consider career paths to become scientists & maybe dream of being an astronaut .
I think that is a great way to honor the astronauts of the Challenger instead of some cold monument wall, sculpture or statue but a learning experience that challenges & inspires people especially children to look forward & to the future.
The link above is a webpage that I was sent today by a dear friend who is celebrating her new life as an empty nester & getting to enjoy her husband all to herself as they get to have all this wonderful "alone together" time. The webpage has a beautiful sentiment which rings true about how we should view life.
